The Foundation plans to focus on contributing and supporting innovative development ideas, initiatives and program in the field of Tourism and Education. The Foundation will also honors outstanding personalities in these two areas and as a start up initiative has planned/implemented the following awards:

  • PP Prasai Lifetime Achievement award to an individual who has contributed to the development and promotion of tourism in Nepal.
  • PP Prasai Innovation in Tourism Entrepreneurship award to individual/ organization with innovative proposal/ project for the development and promotion of tourism
  • PP Prasai Excellence in Education award to a student/ teacher or a community school who has taken an initiative to bring about positive change in the community.

He surpassed the community schools all around the country and was able to bag the National shield, Flag and two lakh rupees. He has been successfully involved in providing help for the community.

As by Nepal Government this is the most excellent community school in Nepal in 2070 BS, as many as 91 different community schools have visited this school after the declaration of Nepal Government. Admired friendly infrastructures, commendable academic progress and excellent teaching of the school which is regularly monitored by guardians.

Deepak Shrestha, awardee “PP Prasai Excellence in Education Award ” for teachers has been involved in the teaching profession for 23 years. Shrestha Beni has been teaching Economics and Population at Community High School. Beni Community High School. He also has been headmaster of that school since 2067 BS which also became the best school in Nepal in 2069. Deepak Shrestha said winning the Excellence in Education Award has made him feel very accomplished and has definitely encouraged him to do better in the upcoming days.

Krishna Bahadur Khatri, Awardee Central Development Region for “PP Prasai Foundation” for teachers had been awarded the best teacher from that region. He has been in the teaching profession for over 19 years and has been teaching in lower secondary school to grade 8 in English Medium. Krishna Bahadur Khatri, thanks PP Prasai Foundation for challenging teachers from underprivileged sectors to excel in their profession.

Experience: 29 years

Ramhari Rijal has been nominated for this year’s Outstanding Teacher Award from the Midwestern region, Ramhari Rizal has been engaged in the teaching profession since 25 Chait 2043. He has been teaching in Sri Ucha Mavi Razena for the last 29 years. Although he is an English teacher, he is well versed in religious and cultural as well as extracurricular activities. Ramhari Rijal said he feels special to have won this award and has considered the PP Prasai Outstanding Teacher Award equivalent of Nepal’s Nobel prize of Nepal.

Lakshmi Panthi Aryal, awardee “PP Prasai Excellence in Education Award” for teachers has been nominated for this year’s best teacher award from the western region 2015. Aryal, who has completed her studies up to M.A studied Nepali as her main subject and is working as a principal in a school as well as in a leadership role in various social organizations. Lakshmi feels that there are very few organizations like PP Prasai Foundation that award teachers for their hard work and dedication.
